Imaging Science Pathway (ISP) Annual Retreat
Organizing Committee Member, 2020
The 2020 Imaging Science Pathway (ISP) annual retreat was conducted virtually. It brought researchers (faculty and students) from various imaging disciplines to a common platform where they shared their ongoing research through talks and posters. As part of the organizing committee’s student team, I gained valuable experience of coordinating an online event and managing the student speakers and the virtual poster session in GatherTown.

Macon Collegiate Leadership Conference
Organizing Committee Member, 2016
The first annual leadership summit was held to equip Mercer University and Wesleyan College student organizations with leadership strategies to maximize their effectiveness on-campus initiatives. As the President of the Wesleyan College Student Government Association, I led a workshop on Diversity and Dialogue. Other workshops in the event included mistakes student organizations commonly make, leadership through empowerment, advocacy for students, budgeting, and personality/leadership styles.

Volunteer, 2016 - 2020
Led demonstrations on scientific concepts of medical imaging and neuroscience to over 200 visitors (preschool children to older adults) at the annual SciFest events through the Portal to the Public program, SPECTRA student group, Brain Discovery program, and the Young Scientist Program (YSP).

Brain Discovery
Visiting Scientist, 2016 - 2018
Facilitated hands-on neuroscience experiments and led discussions through a curriculum focused on using the scientific method for 4th to 6th graders.

STEM Camps

Kids College: a summer camp for children ages 6 – 14

Designed and implemented course modules to teach mathematical concepts through Origami.

Spectacles: a science and math camp for 7th – 9th-grade girls
